DOMINION RESOURCES HELPS ST. MARY’S HOME FOR DISABLED CHILDRENRECOGNIZE DONORS, MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS FOR THEIR SUPPORT
NORFOLK, Va. – Nov. 7, 2008 –St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children is pleased to announce that Dominion Resources has provided $5,000 for an event to recognize donors, medical professionals and community and state leaders for their support and vision.
St. Mary’s Home cares for children and young adults with severe disabilities from across Virginia. The Home is the only pediatric long-term-care residential facility of its kind in Virginia and one of about 100 nationwide. The clinical, educational and therapeutic care is made possible in part by contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations and municipalities.
Dominion Resources’s sponsorship gives St. Mary’s the opportunity to recognize with a reception at the Home on Nov. 13 those who are making a difference in the lives of the children and their families. Dominion Resources, based in Richmond, is one of the nation’s leading energy companies.
