NORFOLK, Va. (July 9, 2014) — St. Mary’s Home today announced its policy for meals served to children under the National School Lunch and/or School Breakfast Programs. A copy of this policy is on file at the Home and may be reviewed by any interested party.

This program receives some support from the federal government. Although all children receive the meals at no charge, the household size and income criteria will be used to determine the number of children eligible for free or reduced-price meals. The result of this process will determine the amount of support received from the federal government. See the Income Eligibiilty Guidelines.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture prohibits discrimination against its customers, employees and applicants for employment on the bases of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, gender identity, religion, reprisal and where applicable, political beliefs, marital status, familial or parental status, sexual orientation, or all or part of an individual’s income is derived from any public assistance program, or protected genetic information in employment or in any program or activity conducted or funded by the Department.
