CHILDREN OF ST. MARY’S HOME HAVE MORE FUN THANKS TO WE PROMISE FOUNDATION GRANT
NORFOLK, Va. – Oct. 16, 2008 –St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children is pleased to announce that the Chartway Federal Credit Union’s We Promise Foundation has given a $7,500 grant to help buy and install play equipment specially designed for children with disabilities.
The equipment, including a wheelchair-accessible glider now installed in a new playground at St. Mary’s, enhances the physical, social and cognitive development of children with disabilities. A dedication was held recently and the playground is now open for the children of St. Mary’s and their families.
