Meet Our Chief of Residential Services
Shannon Edsall knew since she was an intern that she wanted to make her career at St. Mary’s Home. Having a childhood friend with physical and intellectual disabilities sparked her desire to be part of an organization that helps people with complex medical and behavioral needs reach their full potential.
Since completing her internship in healthcare administration in 2011, Shannon has taken on a variety of positions and responsibilities here, such as coordinating and managing projects and writing fundraising grants.
In 2017, Shannon became St. Mary’s first director of operational support, overseeing human resources, maintenance, security and professional development. She also worked closely with other departments to evaluate and update processes and helped the CEO, board members and other staff develop a strategic plan to guide the Home’s future.
In 2019, Shannon’s position evolved to chief of residential services. Shannon works with program managers, recreational therapists, transportation specialists, community engagement teams and direct support professionals to support the whole life of the individuals who live at St. Mary’s Home.
“I look forward to working even harder, alongside a great team, to ensure that the children and young adults we serve have a happy, healthy and exciting life,” Shannon said.
Before coming to St. Mary’s, Shannon worked at Navy Federal Credit Union as a member service representative and as the business manager for Guam Harley-Davidson.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Guam and a master’s degree in business administration-health care administration from the University of Phoenix.
