As of June 30, 2026, Dr. Charisse Carter concluded her role as Medical Director at St. Mary’s Home. We are deeply grateful for Dr. Carter’s service, leadership, and partnership over the past year. She played an important role in supporting the complex medical needs of the individuals in our care and worked closely with our nursing team to ensure safe and coordinated care. We sincerely thank her for her dedication to the St. Mary’s community.
We are also very pleased to share that Dr. DeAnnah Jordan has stepped into the role of Medical Director effective July 1, 2026.
Dr. Jordan is a board-certified pediatrician with Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters and Norfolk Pediatrics. She completed her medical training at Drexel University College of Medicine and her pediatric residency through Eastern Virginia Medical School and CHKD. Dr. Jordan has extensive experience caring for children and young adults with complex medical needs and is known for her collaborative approach and strong communication with families and care teams.
Importantly, Dr. Jordan and Dr. Carter worked within the same practice group, allowing for a smooth transition and continuity of care for the individuals we support.
We are excited to welcome Dr. Jordan to St. Mary’s Home. Her leadership supports our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care and strengthening the partnerships that allow our individuals to live meaningful lives.
