CONSERVATOR ANDREW BAXTER TO TELL STORY OF MOVING SCULPTURE TO NEW ST. MARY’S HOME

WHAT       Fine arts conservator Andrew Baxter to give a free public talk about the challenges of relocating the sculpture Sedes Sapientia (“Seat of Wisdom”) by Joszef Orolya from the old St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children in downtown Norfolk to the Home’s new location near Sentara Leigh Hospital.

WHO        Andrew Baxter is the founder of Richmond-based Bronze et al, Ltd., which has conserved and restored works at The White House, The Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk and Montpelier, the home of President James Madison.
